Nayan unhappy with Super kings decision
I was shocked to read the paper this morning,†said actor Nayanathara about India Cements removing her as the brand ambassador for the Chennai Super Kings team. She says, “It is unethical for a corporate house to make such a statement without having the basic courtesy to inform me of the decision. The memorandum of understanding clearly states that it is not mandatory for me to attend all the matches. I also have proper medical documents to prove that I was hospitalized on April 22 and resumed shooting for Kuseylan only on April 24 in Hyderabad.â€
Of the five clauses in the MOU, Nayan said that she attended the star launch but was not informed well in advance about the shoot with the cricketers and hence she was unable to attend it. She adds, “There were no promotional video, still shoots or informal talk shows. While there are six more matches remaining, such a decision is clearly hasty and biased. When I stood to gain so much mileage in the presence of thousands, how could I have missed the occasion?†Nayan explains what hurt her most was the unprofessional way in which the issue was handled. “Before going to the press with their decision, they should have checked with me. As enough damage has been done to spoil my image, there is no need of any clarification
